I took the Honda Shadow 125 out for a run in the mountains today. MAN I forgot how much fun it is to ride over here.

I rode up to the Turini Pass, passed a Maserati on a hair pin,¨"laces" as they're called here.
I'm in the groove grinding pegs in a serious bout of canyon carving when I come up on a speed limit sign, checking the speedo I'm only 6 mph over, how cool is that.
I did make 1 wrong turn and ended up taking this little dirt goat trail with a 1000 foot drop off (no shoulder) , dirt, mud and big rocks for about 20 miles and the little Honda took it all in stride.
Then came the downhill staircase ride, let's just say this grin I'm sporting will have to be surgically removed.
I got back and pulled into the garage then noticed the owner had a worried look on his face.
What's up? I asked
What is that, do I need new tires?
No I said, the rubber always rolls up like that on the edges when you get the tires to operating temperature. LOL he hasn't seen the under side of his footpegs yet....or what's left of them.

I think tomorrow I'll run back up to the pass in the opposite direction but I'll pass on the dirt road. Today I got pictures, tomorrow I play.
I can't slow down, the Langoliers will get me.

Yes I plan to add a page depicting the days ride here, that would be the only day I forced mysef to stop and get pictures.
I just finished a breakfast of fruits, croissants and 5 different cheeses chassed with good strong coffee ( hey, when in Rome...or Nice in this case) so I'm headed back in the mountains for one last hoora of unbridled ecstasy before I return home tomorrow.[redit][/redit]

It sure did, I spent 4 days in England, 2 weeks in France and in another 48 hours I'll be asking myself if it was all a dream. Then I'll look at the pictures as a smile sneaks back onto my face and I'll know it was real.

Here to make it easyier for the newer members to find:

QUOTE FROM THE PAGE:

September 2008 seamed like a good time to visit with Family in France. My sister's place is in the small town of Drap a little north of Nice on the Riviera. There in the garage was a Honda Shadow waiting for an adventure
.
After checking out this America Classic Edition I was skeptical. Here I had a 125cc 4-stoke that looked heavy, could I get around these mountain roads without having the throttle pinned the whole time.

The first bit of good news was that I was not going to have to modify the shifter so with the bike ready it was time to .....................

Well that sounded awesome! and the pictures were too! They made the whole thing very real for me as I read. Every now and then I like to think I've got some riding experience and can handle myself pretty well... until I meet somebody like you! A true biker. :HAPPYRIDER:  :OFFROAD: [redit][/redit]

Outcast Cycles revolutionizes the motorcycle media!

Tired of Spending over $7 (USD) on a newstand magazine only to find nothing related to your brand of bike?

Tired of TV ads that only feature mainstream, brand new bikes that cost more to buy and operate than your house?

Want to see something that allows both sport bikes and cruisers?

Outcast Cycles produces a high quality, informative, entertaining magazine related to the forgotten motorcycles. If you drive a Hyosung or Johnny Pag bike; if you build old 1960s and 1970s era motorcycles; if you want to see the latest non-mainstream models - then this is your magazine!

Each issue features a full printable magazine, full printable centerfold, dealership and aftermarket sales flyers, and video and audio commercials relevant to YOUR interests. Thats right - what other magazine offers video demonstrations? What TV show offers a printable centerfold? How do we do this.... modern technology! You will need a PDF viewer (Acrobat Reader is one of the more common) but most computers have one already installed.

For a simple $5 (USD) which includes worldwide shipping and packaging, we offer our customers a CD which contains all the items we mentioned earlier. And you can print copies from it, store it for years in smaller places than traditional print magazines, and don't have to waste hours online to read. We are the only media that does this, so don't be fooled by out-of-date regional magazines or expensive national publications.

GOFASTLOUDLY.COM

The ONLY bolt-on exhaust system dyno-tested to give your motorcycle increased performance, fuel milage, and sound!

It isn't a performance part if you can't prove the "performance" part! - GoFastLoudly motto

  • Price:
We started this idea because the prices for other exhausts were just too much. We are aiming our prices to be around $200! Yes - you heard me, lower than $200 for an aftermarket, direct bolt-on, performance muffler!
Sound: This muffler won't make your bike sound like a wounded hummingbird. It's made for a V-twin. Click here for a video

  • Performance:
The unique baffle and silencer combination is the heart of the system. Its not a copied design or built on old methods. It’s a PATENT PENDING design! (Patent Filing 2365424)

  • Quality:
GoFastLoudly mufflers are designed and built in-house, by hand, each and every one.The exclusive GFL "dogbone" is sealed inside its own housing and only weighs about 4 lbs. The outside can is more or less a heat shield and silencer, but makes the package look better in stunning chrome.

  • Inventory:
No waiting months for your system. No middlemen, no large scale machine shops doing the work, just us.

  • Payment:
Yes, that's right, simple Paypal transfer and once its verified, the muffler will ship out. Continental U.S. orders will be shipped via FedEx so shipping can be completed within 24 hours of placing your order. And remember FedEx will only deliver to a physical address, no P. O. Boxes please. Orders to Puerto Rico, Central and South America, Asia, Europe, Australia, and all other areas not specifically mentioned, will be shipped using the U.S. Postal Service due to high shipping costs.

  • Simplicity:
It doesn't get any easier than a bolt on replacement muffler, especially one that improves performance, appearance, and sound and doesn't require re-jetting to your bike. Adding horsepower and sound in about 10 minutes for about $200? Yeah - that's pretty simple!
