:CHOPPER: I set out for a ride today. The kids went off to play with friends, my wife had other interests for the day, and it had been a while since I gave my Venox a good run. Actually, after having read all about Serp's adventures, I was inspired to Ride more, gradually going on longer and longer trips. Of course this little adventure can't hold a candle to the mileage that Greg has done,, buuuut...

:HAPPYRIDER: I rode a little over a hundred miles today, nothing out of the ordinary. When I need something more than my local 35 minute ride, I do the "Lake Linsay Run". I shoot through Brooksville on CR41 to Lake Linsay Rd. (476) and it takes me through some refreshing country scenery, open spaces, winding road.... all the way up through Nobleton to Bushnell in Sumpter County. On the way I detoured off to Istachatta Rd. for a few extra twistys. I stopped for fuel and headed back to 476 to make my way home. Leaving Istachatta On 476, I remembered passing a sign on the way up for "Hog Island Recreational Park". I heard nice things about it but never been there, and I thought it might be a nice place to take a break and be "closer to nature" along the Withlacoochee River. So off I turned. I brought my wife's camera, which had just about dead batteries :CRAP: :DAMMIT: but I did manage to squeeze three pics out of them before I got to the river (this really pisses me off because had I been able to take more, I could have nicely documented this story). So I took a pic. of the sign, and of my bike sitting beside some nice country scenery, then I started down what seemed to be about 3 or 4 miles of limerock road, upon which I hit every pothole. Both the venox and my kidneys took a little beating before I got to the Rec. area at the river, where I took a pic. of the sign pointing to the Rec. area (of course I have no pics of the Rec area itself), and then a pic. of the river in each direction. It was kinda nice there, some picnic tables, a boat ramp, some old rednecks fishing, and it was extremely quiet. I sat peacefully enjoying the scenery, and a couple goes by in a canoe.
In the distance I hear an aircraft engine comming up the river and right away I know it's an airboat, so I get the camera ready for a picture, because I know that my buddy, Cleve, from work is airboat crazy and if anyone would, he'd appreciate that I took a picture of one. Well :CRAP: The camera dies and I can't get a picture of the approaching craft :DAMMIT: What a waste, I thought. Here comes the best part... The airboat slows down, and I put the camera down so I wouldn't look suspiscious or like a tourist. Now the driver is waving at me!  HOLY CRAP it's Cleve! saying "Dang! Whatcha doin' in this neck 'o th' woods?" Well he ran the boat up on the grass and we belly laughed about the coincidence as I explained that I was trying to take a picture "of him" "for him"... and yep you guessed it. :666: I grabbed my gear, jumped on and went for a ride! (but not before I took two shots of Cleve and his airboat on the batteries I borrowed out of his GPS...ha-ha)(those two shots exhasted those batteries too so that was it for photos :DAMMIT: :CRAP: )
So there we were flying up and down Withlacoochee River Yee-hawing like Burt Reynolds in "Gator". That was my very first airboat ride and I loved it! What fun! With a lack of photos, I wish there were some way to more clearly share the experience. Cleve had invited me and the family to go airboating quite some time ago, but it just never materialized untill today... by accident! :)
After returning to Hog island Rec area (Cleve had ramped his boat in from the other side of the river at "Silver Lake"), I thanked him and took my Venox home for a washing since it was covered in limerock dust and lovebugs. It was a good day, and I hope it was a good read. :)

Outcast Cycles revolutionizes the motorcycle media!

Tired of Spending over $7 (USD) on a newstand magazine only to find nothing related to your brand of bike?

Tired of TV ads that only feature mainstream, brand new bikes that cost more to buy and operate than your house?

Want to see something that allows both sport bikes and cruisers?

Outcast Cycles produces a high quality, informative, entertaining magazine related to the forgotten motorcycles. If you drive a Hyosung or Johnny Pag bike; if you build old 1960s and 1970s era motorcycles; if you want to see the latest non-mainstream models - then this is your magazine!

Each issue features a full printable magazine, full printable centerfold, dealership and aftermarket sales flyers, and video and audio commercials relevant to YOUR interests. Thats right - what other magazine offers video demonstrations? What TV show offers a printable centerfold? How do we do this.... modern technology! You will need a PDF viewer (Acrobat Reader is one of the more common) but most computers have one already installed.

For a simple $5 (USD) which includes worldwide shipping and packaging, we offer our customers a CD which contains all the items we mentioned earlier. And you can print copies from it, store it for years in smaller places than traditional print magazines, and don't have to waste hours online to read. We are the only media that does this, so don't be fooled by out-of-date regional magazines or expensive national publications.

It isn't a performance part if you can't prove the "performance" part! - GoFastLoudly motto

The unique baffle and silencer combination is the heart of the system. Its not a copied design or built on old methods. It’s a PATENT PENDING design! (Patent Filing 2365424)

  • Quality:
GoFastLoudly mufflers are designed and built in-house, by hand, each and every one.The exclusive GFL "dogbone" is sealed inside its own housing and only weighs about 4 lbs. The outside can is more or less a heat shield and silencer, but makes the package look better in stunning chrome.

  • Inventory:
No waiting months for your system. No middlemen, no large scale machine shops doing the work, just us.

  • Payment:
Yes, that's right, simple Paypal transfer and once its verified, the muffler will ship out. Continental U.S. orders will be shipped via FedEx so shipping can be completed within 24 hours of placing your order. And remember FedEx will only deliver to a physical address, no P. O. Boxes please. Orders to Puerto Rico, Central and South America, Asia, Europe, Australia, and all other areas not specifically mentioned, will be shipped using the U.S. Postal Service due to high shipping costs.

  • Simplicity:
It doesn't get any easier than a bolt on replacement muffler, especially one that improves performance, appearance, and sound and doesn't require re-jetting to your bike. Adding horsepower and sound in about 10 minutes for about $200? Yeah - that's pretty simple!

Yup! I looked at your code...strange,exactly the same but mine didn't work. That drove me nuts! Thanks for reposting it. And yeah Dave, I'm ready! It's gettin closer... A word of advice though, invest in plenty of batteries, or if yours is rechargeable, see about a second spare battery.
