Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) If you are a beginner or an expert, you should check out the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) which has alot of detailed safety stuff on their website. they have safety classes that they can take. Not only do you learn the various techniques of motorcycle safety, but taking these classes you can get discounts on insurance, motorcycles, and equiptment. Glad to see that this may be a good topic. both my father and I took the class because it had been some 20+ years sense we had been on a motorcycle and figured to get some serious brushing up on our skills. we had fun and felt more prepared to hit the road. next year i am planning to take the expert class. |

You can never learn to much. In my opinion all these courses are well worth the money and/or time. We have similar ones here and I have been thinking I might go and do the advanced again since I have done around 70000km from when I did it last time and have probably picked up a few bad habits in the meantime |

 Certainly not. There's no scoffing here sir. We may be silly at times, but safety is priority one with the Pride.  Many of us have taken or are planning to take the course if not for the first time, then as a refresher. |

You figured right! This is a great topic. I know a woman who recently took the course and she said that there were learners who've never even been on a bicycle   however they are very thorough in the beginner course. They teach you EVERYTHING from the very beginning (by this I mean the most basic of things). |

The only people that scoff at the idea that they don't know everything are fools. If we have not said much it may be because we really have nothing further to add, we are perhaps in agreement and have not additional information to post. We don't ALL post-whore  We don't have MSF in Oz but we do have some very good Advanced Riding courses and I fully intend to take a couple of them as soon as course vacancies and time permits. It does not take much to reinforce the fact that good cornering and good braking are skills to be learned and are not instinctive.
