I decided to break off from the group once we got to Idyllwild. I went down 74 through Hemet. Very nice curvy road with minimal traffic, clear sky, and very little wind. Great view from 5000 feet above sea level.

We met at the usual rendezvous point: Park and Ride located off the I-15 and I-76 I got there at 9:30am Spoiler: click to toggle I thought I was really early, but turns out that Paul and Jack have been there for a couple of hours just because. We waited and at 10am few more people showed up... At this time we weren't sure if it was going to be a good turn out but we just sat back and relaxed just in case...10 minutes later another 10 minutes after that and at 10:45 there were more than 15 bikes . Steve Mallot, the club leader decided to stop by to give us some good news about his wife - finally home from the hospital Woohoo! No body would volunteer to lead the ride at this point so Paul got elected. First choice was to go to Borrego Springs but with the hot temperature we have today everyone opted for somewhere cooler, so Idyllwild was the pick of the day. We took Hwy 76 and passed Lake Henshaw and stopped at The Hide Out near by after a short break we started heading out to Idyllwild. We stopped to get gas...by Anza and kept on going. We arrived at Idyllwild at around 1:30pm Some shops hidden in small alleys Other stores Trees changing colors from the season change Everyone kind of scattered to get lunch, I was not hungry and was curious about the other roads I have not seen yet so I decided to just break off on my own. I decided to take Hwy 74 through Hemet It was a very nice twisty road going down the mountain and even though I wasnt sure where the road was headed at least I am familiar with the city of Hemet so it wasnt that big of a deal - my ride still had half a tank so worst case scenario I could ride back :P Luckily got down through Hemet and recognized the main road and rode straight home. I specially liked the way I took home going down through Hemet coming down the mountain where it takes you down Florida Ave. I would like to go there again and take more pics at the rest stops.
