QUESTION(s) ? piwyrmanagement@gmail.com
Since he didnot know which ''world famous bridge' he was on perhaps the other comments are bogus also..
Anyone who actually owns one want to comment ?

:OLD: I hope Kawasaki paid them well , they must have spent a lot of time trying to find the worst one in the crate. I have never seen rust and poor paint on one yet. And he did say it will out perform the little kaw.

Well after having my GT 27 months now and >75000km I have had a weld starting to split on the frame. I have now had it rewelded and am waiting for another 1000km to make sure its okay before I paint the area again.

I have had no rust at all

I think that vid has been around for quite a while.

I know that on the early models that came here to NZ some did have rust problems with the frame - these were the 2005 models but they seem to have sorted it out

As far as the paint is concerned I have seen a couple around that are a bit "orange peely" but they are not that bad
Hyosung GT250 - Yellow of course

Yes that vid has been round for a while although I don't think it dates back before 2005 ;) - a few people have mentioned seeing slightly orange-peel paint but not to a level that the average Joe would really notice - certainly I have not noticed any orange peel on any of the bikes I've seen up close.

My GV does have some very small surface rust spots - on the front tank mount and the bolt-heads that hold the front brack master cylinder to the handlebars but that's all, so far the GT displays none.

You will notice they take great care to alway put the Kaw in the forground (except when they give you the macro tour) and when running together note that the Kaw is always in the lead despite the Hyo "performing better" - its pretty clear there is bias in the reporting for whatever reason despite them being careful not to totally trash the Hyo, you would certainly have to suspect that Kaw is a major sponsor. Taking this into account the Hyo scrubs up very well :)

Also, I've seen it posted elsewhere that Hyo did NOT provide the bike used in the test (Hyo seem to be very good at not helping reviewers of their product) whereas supposedly Kaw did provide the Ninja so Dog only knows where it came from, if it wasn't prepped by the manufacturer then they were not really comparing apples with apples.
Most of my rides are blue, grey and white are shades of blue aren't they?

Where abouts was the crack Greg? Is it at all likely that its the result of the crash rather than fatigue?

:OLD: Kawasaki use to send in special prereless bikes. Back in the GPZ days I had a chance to buy one from the guy that had it in for work to get ready for a mag test. It almost matched what was on the floor but looked different and ran a lot different.

All very interesting. I think Greg or Glynn should be the ones giving the review. Two experienced high mile bikers who are not riding a kawasaki. Hyo has my vote. :)

The split started not long after the warranty had run out at 10000k. It never really did anything so I just kept my eye on it and then after the crash it suddenly split right through so............

Anyway if I remember I will take a pic because I still havent painted it yet (except with rust stop)
